Foolish Child Phobias and How to Get Over Them

I was a lucky kid when it came to food. Mum, until recently, wasn’t an outstanding cook, but she did well enough and threw in a bit of variety and we did eat out quite a bit and what with travelling to Asia quite often I’ve never had any problem with spicy food and things like that and find myself having problems with whoever does.

Up until recently there have been two foods which I’ve avoided throughout my life, even running hell-for-leather just to avoid eating them. I had some food phobias.

New York - City Thought

Lady Liberty, standing tall, torch blazing in the morning sun. An impressive sight backed by the tallest buildings of the time. You can only imagine what a relieving if not awe inspiring sight that would have been to immigrants all those years ago. And that’s what New York is all about right? A place where the minorities go to become the majority.

Different backgrounds, different jobs, different lifestyles; and yet they all feel at home. Maybe they’re polite and kind in recognition of their differences, different backgrounds to people with different lifestyles, lifestyles to race, race to religion – since they know ‘normal’ people could and will give them trouble. A sort of city-wide sympathy for those in the same position. Maybe they’re just polite and kind since they want a tip.
Which is more reliable? What does it matter?

We’re Back Online with Jingly Bells On

The site has been down for quite a long time. It was a hosting problem, you see. We were down for about a week.

I just put up five or six updates for you to read. If you don’t read them all, you’re a bad friend. Hopefully that guilts you into it. Day Seventeen to Twenty One are up.

If it happens again I might have to kill someone. It might be you, but more likely somebody at the hosting company.

Not Quite Off the Ground

This is about things I like to do most. Hang out with friends, eat food, experience new things, and break schedules over my knee. It’s about other things that tire me out, but still have some worth – covering distance and enjoying the front and tail ends of each day. That means sunrise and sunset.

See? I haven’t even started my trip and there’s conflict happening.
