This is a journal of my travels around the world.
That’s really it, but I’ll give you some more info so you don’t pester me.
Dusting off on June the 4th, 2008, I’m going to be travelling around America, Europe and a little bit of Asia for who knows how long. People keep asking me how long! I don’t have that answer, but I can tell you a bit about what I hope to achieve with this.
I want to log just about every interesting thing I do and experience. You can imagine this as a giant photo album in writing form. In fact, it would complement a photo album very nicely. I have a terrible memory and any aid is welcome.
I’m going to have four friends with me. Angus, Ben, Kate and Ryan. They might contribute something every now and then, but it probably won’t be as good as my stuff, so don’t get too excited. But seriously, they deserve a mention since I’ll be living just about every minute of every day with them for months. That will be quite an achievement on its own. Look out for photos of us pulling ludicrous and/or ridiculous faces anywhere we end up.
Hopefully I can keep this site up to date day by day (with the help of my trusty laptop). The only thing that will stop me is if I can’t get onto the internet somewhere, in which case I’ll post a bunch of updates at once. That, or my laptop gets stolen. Or I die. Or have all my fingers broken.
Really, any explanation as to why I would stop posting is probably a nasty one, so it would be a good idea to assume the worst.
That said, I’m going to assume the best for my trip - and hopefully you enjoy reading my little journal here. Please, leave comments, tell me what you like and what you think is shite, and I’ll do my best to refine this thing as I go along.
